We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Consultant / Principal to play a critical role within in our Climate Policy & Finance practice area.
DNA’s Climate Policy & Finance practice is dedicated to assisting public and private sector clients in navigating the complex landscape of climate change policy and finance. We provide expertise in areas such as climate change policy & finance strategy and implementation, regulatory impact assessments, climate risk and vulnerability assessments, and the design of low-carbon transition strategies.
Our work is instrumental in supporting public sector and private sector clients as they adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change, ensuring sustainable economic growth and development. A new area of focus will see increased support to municipal finance initiatives and implementing innovative climate mitigation and adaptation interventions at the local government level that deepen place-based initiatives that boost climate change resilience and local/regional economic performance.
About the role
Depending on the candidate's experience, the role will be tailored to either the Senior Consultant or Principal level within DNA.
At a Senior Consultant level, the position and responsibilities focus on leading small teams across research projects, leading on technical research and undertaking quality assurance of research inputs. Consultants are also expected to support in managing client relationships across projects and to support business development activities.
The Principal level is a management position within DNA. In addition to exhibiting technical expertise and managing projects and teams, a Principal at DNA has specific business development and client management targets. Principals are also expected to build internal team capacity and capabilities.
Requirements
Minimum requirements

A Master’s degree in Economics, Climate / Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Engineering or a related field.

A minimum of 7-10 years’ professional experience.

Relevant professional experience in economic consulting, and in the climate change and climate policy fields.

Proven ability to manage research / consulting projects or lead work streams within larger projects.

Ability to contribute to business development activities, including assisting with proposal writing and client presentations.

Strong analytical skills with proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative methods.

Experience in client management and project coordination.

Effective communication and presentation skills.
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
