We are looking for a skilled, experienced Mercedes-Benz Technician / Supervisor
Education / Experience Requirement:
Associate degree in automotive technology or relative electronics degree from an accredited college, certified technical training institute, or certified military training program plus two (2) years of experience as a repair technician in a certified automotive repair center.
If no degree, a minimum of six (6) years of experience is required as a certified repair technician with additional electrical technical experience.
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
· Experience with automotive diagnostic software.
· Electric or mechanical diagnostic experience.
· High ability to analyse, troubleshoot and perform electrical/mechanical repairs.
· Solid attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Flexibility in moving between a variety of job assignments and work schedules.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· N2 - Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Motor Trade Theory.
· A minimum of 3 years Technician/Motor Industry experience is essential.
· Clear Criminal Record.
· A Valid Driver's License.
· Technician Qualification.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with Xentry WIS and other related Mercedes-Benz-vehicle information systems.
· Experience with the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) workshop management system.
· Familiarization with Mercedes-Benz-specific coding and electrical schematics.
· Master ASE certified or other relative certification.
Supervisor Expected Responsibilities
· Allocation of work and deployment of Staff
· Verification of timely and proper opening and closing of job cards
· Enforcing quality through Supervision of work and stage inspections
· Ensuring the availability of tools and materials
· Ensure economy in the use of raw materials.
· Ensure punctuality in attendance, discipline, and also the presence of workers at
the work spot during duty hours.
· Ensure supply of safety kits to workers and ensure adherence to
safety regulations and safe work practices.
· Ensure timely completion of work as per the target set by the management.
· Ensure proper upkeep and safety of the assets - both immovable and
movable.
· Ensure cleanliness of work premises and ensure good housekeeping by
eliminating trash, filth, and foreign matters creating a cleaner workplace.
· Inculcate cleaning as a form of inspection and establish a clean-up time
every day.
· Ensure correct handling of material so that damage does not occur
due to mishandling.
· Inculcate and maintain proper work culture amongst staff.
· Design and establish an efficient and neat layout so that one can always get
just as much of what is needed and whenever needed.
· Design of workstations: Design an efficient layout and ensure proper
storage of tools, jigs, fixtures, raw materials, spare parts, and semi-finished and finished work; and put things in order (or organize them)
· Environment: To create a conducive work environment free from avoidable
heat, noise, pollution, vibrations, and lack of illumination.

· Ergonomics: To optimize tasks and workstations from the point of
view of commonplace postures and movements such as sitting, standing,
lifting, pulling, and pushing with the least stress on ligaments, joints, and
muscles of the workmen; and modify them as needed with the change of
activity or workmen with different anthropometric backgrounds.
· Environment: To create a conducive work environment free from avoidable
heat, noise, pollution, vibrations, and lack of illumination.
