Retail Service Department Manger Introduction A well-known leading Supermarket based in Phoenix is looking for a Service Department Manager who will manage our highly esteemed service departments in our store. As a service department manager, your key responsibility is to ensure optimum performance of the store service departments which comprises of the deli, butchery, bakery and produce. Job Objectives: To ensure the achievement of the different department’s financial performance by driving and maximising sales through the execution of promotional activities and driving cross-selling, up-selling initiatives, and superior customer service across the store team. To successfully execute in-store visual merchandising, ensuring the in-store presentation and promotional standards are met and that the appearance of the service departments are in line with the brand image. To efficiently execute operational activities of the service departments including stock management, shrinkage, wastage and general housekeeping To support the Store Manager in ensuring staff are motivated and directed to achieve their targets and performance goals and effectively managed in the absence of the store manager. To assist the Store Manager in maintaining the work schedule daily in line with the Group's labour policy and the relevant labour model to ensure each department is fully and appropriately staffed. To execute customer service initiatives in store that results in a great customer experience, drives customer loyalty and achieves club card participation targets. To support departmental managers in their upkeep of their administrative documentation and maintenance of health and safety standards in their departments. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12.
