An upmarket restaurant located within a prestigious hotel in Cape Town CBD is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee night operations and maintain the highest standards of service. Key Responsibilities:
Manage all night shift restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
Lead, supervise, and motivate staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Oversee guest service to ensure high standards of hospitality and address any issues promptly.
Manage stock control, inventory management, and ensure accurate end-of-shift cash-ups.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain service flow and ensure menu consistency.
Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
Ensure the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
Assist with staff training and development to enhance team performance.
Handle shift schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for peak hours.
Monitor financial performance, track budgets, and manage cost control.
Requirements:
SA citizen.
Recent experience as a Restaurant Manager in an upmarket restaurant (+- 2 years).
Strong understanding of restaurant operations within an upmarket setting.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Familiarity with inventory management, financial reporting, and stock control.
Ability to manage night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance regulations.
