The successful candidate will report directly to the Accountant: Reporting analyst and will be part of a structured Finance team. We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.
JOB PURPOSE This role is responsible for: Rebates
Accurate and timely processing
Monitoring and reporting of supplier rebates, other promotions and related projects
Analysis of product line profitability and provide advice on different rebate/gross margin structures to optimize value for our customer and the business
Royalties
Calculating and administering royalty payments to applicable trade suppliers
Timely and accurate reporting of royalties to licensors
Ensuring that all license agreements are properly updated and maintained
Facilitating licensee audits
Business partnering
Compiling monthly financial reports for Support Centre expenses relating to Buying & Planning
Managing the invoice processing and associated reconciliations relating to buying agents
Co-ordinating the resolution of product recalls through cross functional engagement
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential:
Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience within a similar role
Experience in analysis, process and report validation
Preferred:
Experience within a retail, finance or planning environment

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Essential:
Degree or Diploma in Finance / Accounting
Preferred:
Postgraduate qualification in Finance / Accounting
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE
KNOWLEDGE required:
Knowledge of Supplier rebates
Knowledge of financial systems and processes within retail
Knowledge of implementing and improving finance processes
An understanding of FMCG supplier agreements
Knowledge of and understanding the relationship between sales, volume, gross profit and rebates
