Lifting Machine Inspector

The purpose of this position is to perform load tests to material handling equipment as per OHSACT requirements.
To successfully perform this job, the appointed individual must effectively carry out each essential duty and key performance area. This list of key performance areas is not exhaustive and may be modified or supplemented to meet business needs as necessary:

Conduct load tests in accordance with OHSACT requirements.
Maintain vehicle maintenance and operational data/history by updating records and communicating relevant information promptly.
Ensure complete customer satisfaction by providing service in a polite and professional manner.
Facilitate effective communication between oneself and workshop staff, including supervisors and controllers.
Adhere to OHSACT requirements in all activities on company premises; maintain a safe work environment by verifying the operation of vehicle safety devices, following established standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Must have qualifications:

Matric, Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Accredited Forklift Lifting Machine Inspector
Minimum of 3 years mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience pertaining to forklifts
Recognised Forklift Lifting Machine Inspector qualification
Code 8 driver's licence
Valid forklift operator licence
ECSA Certificate/Registration Number
Proficient in understanding and adhering to safety measures and precautions.
Capable of functioning effectively within a team and contributing positively to the team environment.
Able to perform under high-pressure situations.
