HR Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Training and development, Talent Optimization

Developing a training plan as per plant requirements

Compile a Multiskilling Programme

Human Resource Administration

Ensure all HR systems are attended to and up to date, capturing on ESS and Clocking System

Ensure all HR Job Descriptions correspond with Organisational Structures

Ensure Employee Personal Files are updated

Ensure Employee Training Files are updated

Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolving issues promptly and organize team building activities

Gather and analyse date with useful HR metrics I.E. time to hire and employee turnover rates

Timeous and accurate documentation submission to the payroll department as per the HR Calendar

Compile HR budget for (Training, legal, EWP(employee wellbeing))

Produce and submit reports on HR activities to Plant Manager and Head Office (HR Generalist)

Performance Management

Implementation of performance management for all employees as per the Guidelines

Undertake tasks around performance management

Organize bi-annual and annual employee performance reviews

Recruitment & Selection

Compliance with Company recruitment policy

Cost Effective recruitment stragey by seeking the most cost-effective way of recruitment cost

Improve quality of the candidates

Labour Relations and Employee Relations

Coordinate approved Employee wellness preprogrammes

Coordinate approved Team Building Initiatives

Ensure correct disciplinary procedures are followed

Attend to disciplinary, incapacity and grievance hearings and matters

Provide sound labour relations advice and support Management

Compile CCMA/Bargaining council packs

Representation of the Company at Conciliations and Arbitrations

Compile/Formulate all warning forms

Submit weekly disciplinary report to HR Generalist (Head Office)

Promote HR programmes to create an efficient and conflict free workplace

Create Awareness for Absenteeism

Compliance with Employment Equity Act for the company, including arranging of meetings as per EE Deputy/Manager

Compliance with all HR related legislation

Ensure induction programme for new recruits as well as refreshers are conducted

Any other reasonable and lawful instructions required by management

Minimum Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)

Completed qualification in Human resources or related qualifications(essential)

Minimum 5 Years experience in a similar role.

Exposure to Labour law and employment equity regulations

Exposure to payroll practises advantageous
