Mission
Be responsible for a wide range of different strategic and tactical HR tasks including Guided by the regional HR strategy and plan, give input to vision, mission, strategy and structure within the dedicated business area. Responsible for implementing and using the leadership model. Drive and participate in continuous improvement projects within HR.
Core responsibilities / expectations
- Leadership Development: Assist the Management Team with leadership team development. Organize leadership workshops and coach leaders on various topics.
- Acquiring talent: Responsible for talent review process. Identifying staffing needs, developing and standardizing job descriptions, conducting interviews to select candidates, recruiting, and onboarding across different departments.
- HR processes: Developing and aligning policies and ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, law and regulations and provide Line Managers with support in labor law issues.
- Performance Management: Assist with the Performance Management process to ensure 100% compliance. Continuously assess the effectiveness of all human resources initiatives relative to the achievement of desired goals and outcomes.
- Company training plan: Assessing skill gaps, designing training workshops, and facilitating learning and development opportunities for employees. Good knowledge of the National Qualification Framework and mer SETA requirements. Assisting with training programmes for apprenticeships and learnerships, employee bursaries and continues following up.
- Employee well-being: Ensure ongoing communication to employees regarding the company Wellness programme and investigate workshops focused on mental health, physical well-being, and overall employee wellness.
- Employee compensation: Align and executing compensation structures and benefits. Assist with the Salary Review process.
- Reporting and analysis: Prepare and analyse HR reports on various aspects, such as sick leave, diversity, staff turnover rates, employee training completion rates, overtime and any other HR related matters.
- Team debriefs: Attend team's meetings such as Workplace Forum, Employment Equity, Skills Development, to review achievements, update on HR issues and set priorities for upcoming activities. Report to management and provide decision support.
- Payroll: Assist with the preparation of monthly payroll data packs. Good understanding of the BCEA and Main Agreement payment rules. Assist staff with any medical aid, retirement fund, funeral fund requirements.
- HR OPS: Working closely with Line Manager to ensure all HR related duties are undertaken in accordance with employment law, company policy and ensuring any risk to the business is minimised. Assist with HR department duties such as audits, monthly invoicing, and budget control and/or other.
- Creating a positive workplace culture: Identifying and executing measures to create and maintain a positive and welcoming work environment for all employees. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues. Nurture a positive working environment
- Integration: Ensure alignment with the Epiroc way and internal control.
Competences, skills and experience
- HR Related degree or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience from broad HR roles, preferably from similar industry.
- Proven working experience as HR Business Partner and demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics and strategy plan.
- Previous experience and knowledge of all related labor laws.
- Previous experience of coaching and developing of staff.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
- Experience of HR transformation initiatives including digitalization
- Experience of working with cloud-based systems.
- Syspro and Epiroc HR systems is highly desirable.
