We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales and receipt. Our ideal candidate holds a Bookkeeping qualification and is familiar with the SAGE accounting software package. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing customer and supplier tax invoices
Allocating amounts received/paid from SAGE bank account to relevant customer/supplier accounts
Allocate amounts in customer/supplier accounts to relevant invoices
Contact suppliers in respect of any outstanding invoices/statements/credit notes and diarise for follow up purposes
Contact suppliers in respect of any arrear payments and diarise for follow up purposes
Email statements/invoices as required or requested by customers/suppliers
Provide CEO with suppliers and customers balance outstanding report on the last day of every month, as well as on the 7th of each new month
Calculation of customer discounts/adjustments and updating SAGE with these amounts
Accessing various payments systems (eg. Paygate, Payflex, Payfast, Yoco, Snapscan), calculating and updating SAGE with the vendor fees in order to balance the various accounts
Capturing statements in the required format as stipulated by customers and uploading the statements on the relevant B2B portals.
EXPERIENCE:
MUST reside in the southern suburbs of Cape Town
Prior retail experience is crucial – must understand discounts, rebates, allocations, etc.
Online retail sales experience is advantageous
Working knowledge and experience in SAGE accounting
