Experience in teaching Dramatic Arts
Previous experience in an IEB school will be a distinct advantage
A passion for the Performing Arts and in particular, Dramatic Arts
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic Arts/ Performing Arts and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Previous experience teaching in girls’ schools is an advantage
The ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders
An ability to be flexible, innovative and embrace change
Excellent organisational and communication skills, and experience in organising Performing Arts events
Complete administration, and provide guidance and supervision to students in the extra-curricular Dramatic Arts programme, such as the Junior Drama Club and other
Support and run with various workshops, including devising and directing productions (Grades 10-12), such as the Junior Drama Showcase, FEDA, the Senior One Act Play Festival, and Eisteddfods
Preparing students for practical assessments at the end of each term (Grades 8-12)
A fundamentally future-orientated approach to teaching and learning
The ability and willingness to incorporate technology in the classroom and for administrative tasks
An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team
An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach
An understanding that this role will require after hours work in the evening and over weekends
Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion
Proof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender’s clearance certificate
