Food Service Assistant
We are looking for a Food Service Assistant in Mafikeng or nearby areas. The candidate must be knowledgeable in food preparation and good organizational skills. The candidates must also have diverse knowledge in preparation of different menus.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Prepare all the ingredients for the day according to the menu’s daily requirements.
a. Cleaning.
b. Chopping and peeling vegetables as per requirements for the day.
c. Assisting with duties that require heavy lifting and intensive strength.
2. Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients.
3. Ensure good presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
4. Maintain a clean environment in and around the food preparation area.
5. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
6. Ensure quality control before, during and after food preparation.
7. Ensure that the storerooms are always kept clean.
8. Handle and maintain the fridge.
9. Maintain high standards of hygiene.
10. Ensure that the food sample sheet is filled correctly.
11. Ensure that food samples are kept in the fridge as per health authorities’ requirements.
12. Control and minimize waste.

Pay: R4 000,00 - R5 000,00 per month

- Matric
- Food and Beverage Qualification
- Basic Computer Skills
- 1+ year of experience in food preparation (please provide references in the CVs)
