We are looking for qualified cooks to provide catering services to in Mafikeng. Successful candidates will sign a 1 year contract with possible renewal. Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare all the ingredients for the day as per menu's daily requirements.
Portioning.
An innovative approach to food preparation.
Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients.
Cleaning all cutlery and crockery.
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
Maintain a clean environment in and around the food preparation area.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly,
Check the quality of the ingredients.
Ensure that the storerooms are always kept clean.
Handle and maintain the fridge.
Maintain high standards of hygiene.
Ensure that the food sample sheet is filled correctly.
Ensure that food samples are kept in the fridge as per health authorities’ requirements.
Prepare salad dressings, dips and sauces.
Control and minimize waste.
Weigh, measure, mix and prepare ingredients according to the recipes.
Experience & Qualifications
High school certificate/matric.
Qualification in food preparation / culinary arts.
Computer Literacy Certificate.
3-5 years experience after graduation (please provide contactable references).
Food safety qualification will be an added advantage.
