The Role
A highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant is sought to assist in managing our client’s financial records, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with accounting standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial information.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as required
Fact-check accounting data
Reconcile company accounts
Process payroll and track payroll data
Proficiency in preparing tax payments and returns
Collaborate with staff accountants as needed
Skills and Experience
REQUIREMENTS:
3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
Matriculation with tertiary degree/diploma in accounting preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Pay Space).
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis tools.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects.
Excellent data entry skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Criminal and Credit clearance will be required.
A level-headed and confident personality is what we are looking for.
Driver’s licence with own vehicle essential.
