Bookkeeper CPT
A 4* hotel in Cape Town is seeking a Bookkeeper who's a detail-oriented and organised individual with a passion for numbers and hospitality. The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping within a hospitality setting and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the hotel’s day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial statements for review.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Monitor cash flow, ensuring the hotel operates within budget parameters.
- Assist with budget preparation and tracking of expenses.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of VAT returns.
- Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as needed.
- Manage the payroll process and ensure timely salary payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Recent experience as a Bookkeeper in a hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or similar).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with VAT and tax regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
