Primary Role: As a Vendor Manager, your primary role will be to manage and develop relationships with our vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products, timely deliveries, and competitive pricing. You will be responsible for the vendor selection, performance management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all vendor-related inquiries and negotiations.
Identify and onboard new vendors to expand product selection and enhance the customer experience.
Evaluate vendor performance regularly, addressing any issues or concerns and working closely with them to implement improvement plans.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors, ensuring optimal value for both parties.
Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, finance, and logistics, to develop and execute strategies for successful product launches and promotions.
Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth, making recommendations to the VP of Commercial and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate product information is available on our website, working closely with the content and merchandising teams.
Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and competitors, staying up-to-date on new products, technologies, and market changes.
Skills, Knowledge required:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying opportunities for growth and implementing effective solutions.
Deep understanding of e-commerce, supply chain management, and inventory control.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, and Word) and experience with vendor management software and e-commerce platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Education, Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
4+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain management
Experience working in e-commerce or retail industry preferred
Experience in contract negotiation and management
Experience with supplier performance management and improvement strategies
