Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager Salary: Competitive Location: Various across KSA JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The successful individual will be working for a company at the forefront of BAE Systems’ commitment to industrialise the supply chain in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Working across the SMSCMC Functions and Project Teams will offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of SMSCMC in KSA. The Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for the management and direction of all Supply Chain Operations within the Capability including Physical Logistics, Priority Management & Physical Asset Management. They are responsible to the Head of Supply Chain for all aspects of the Supply Chain products and/or services provided of the Pt 145 element of Base Supply Chain. They are also responsible for the co-ordination of all appropriate areas to ensure compliance with the relevant governance requirements for Continuing Platform worthiness and Maintenance regulatory frameworks of both the Customer contracts and Platform Maintenance Function. They must ensure motivation, the effective utilisation of the workforce and adherence to SHE, Quality and internal/external regulations. In addition, they are also responsible for the delegation of authority to other approved signatories across their platform/business area, as required. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Regulatory Framework understanding and the ability to drive this framework structure into the Demand Management processes and activities.
Able to build strong relationships with Customers Organisation(s), Order Book Management, OEMs, Suppliers and other key stakeholders.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the platform contract(s) terms of reference for those Direct and Indirect aspects related to the headline KPIs.
Demonstrate a thorough operational and commercial understanding of the fleet’s performance and business key performance metrics.
Able to design, implement and foster a Continuous Improvement culture, underpinned by appropriate management reporting systems.
Able to take the lead in developing an efficient and cost effective Demand Management strategy.
Demonstrate an understanding of SBM discipline dependencies and interdependencies with Demand Management.
Provide direction and advice to the Demand Management team(s) on demand related issues, addressing individual aircraft/components and fleet-wide issues.
Able to manage the competency of the Demand Management team/department.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Minimum qualification of a HND in a relevant discipline, or suitable equivalent.
Strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience with Lean management principles.
Effective, highly credible communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Requires broad product knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the relationship with interfacing / contributory areas.
Ability to analyse and interpret data.
Comprehensive understanding of current IT software packages used within the Demand Management discipline.
Good understanding of Project Management techniques.
Understanding of the Financial, Commercial and Procurement processes within BAE Systems and the operating Customer.
