The Software Engineer is responsible for assisting the Delivery manager/Service Leader on the delivery of integrated software solutions that have a complex technical design requirement.
Responsible for coordinating the input of various key internal and external stakeholders, they must have good communications skills.
Duties include network infrastructure design, network infrastructure installation and commissioning support, and 3rd party product integration with Software / EBI to include EBI support and trouble shooting with the ability to complete basic log file analysis and EBI Custom Application Programming (i.e. Interface with Peoplesoft, SAP, CHOM, Identity management).
Integration Engineers must have detailed knowledge and competency to engineer– Web Services, API, BACNet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other protocols as well as detailed knowledge and competency to engineer server, redundancy solutions.
Ability to coordinate and lead large system staging and FAT acceptance processes.
Software Engineer are typically provide Technical Support and Training to service engineers
§ Perform new software deployment and periodic software upgrade (Major or Minor), do functional testing and commissioning of the software deliverables § Possess a comprehensive understanding of high-end integrated BMS, Fire, mechanical and Security applications. § Assessment of customer site for software installation requirements, installation design. § Develop software, perform ‘bench testing’ if required and deliver commissioning package to field. Assist delivery in start up as required. § Complete complex and integrated system design and implementation and documentation.
Use Quality Assurance procedures and ensure defect-free hardware and software to field delivery team.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, computer engineer
Advanced Network / PC certification (Desirable)
Tridium Niagara Certification, CCNA
Previous experience working with highly complex technical solutions
Advanced knowledge of networking, database technology, integration protocols, and current trends in the industry.
5+ years working in a service environment, with extensive on-site knowledge / ability to manage software deployment
Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with latest Honeywell technology
Customer survey VOC metrics.
