Senior Travel Operations Lead

Job Summary:
The Senior Travel Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the full spectrum of travel operations, with a strong focus on luxury travel, inbound tourism, ticketing, and client engagement through workshops. This role ensures seamless execution of high-end travel experiences and leverages B2B systems to maximize operational efficiency and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will lead the team in delivering superior client services, enhancing business partnerships, and staying ahead of industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Oversight and Coordination
  • Lead and manage complex travel logistics, including flights, accommodations, luxury transportation, tours, and concierge services for high-end clients and inbound tourists.
  • Ensure all arrangements are meticulously aligned with client preferences, focusing on the luxury segment.
  • Workshops and Client Engagement
  • Organize and deliver travel workshops and presentations for clients, partners, and stakeholders to showcase luxury travel experiences and new destination offerings.
  • Engage with clients directly to provide in-depth consultations on luxury travel options, inbound tourism opportunities, and tailored packages.
  • B2B Systems and Supplier Management
  • Utilize B2B systems for booking, tracking, and managing supplier relations, ensuring the best possible rates and services from airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with luxury travel suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure exclusive deals.
  • Inbound Tourism and Market Expertise
  • Develop and implement tailored packages for inbound tourism, focusing on high-end travelers and VIP clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends in luxury travel, inbound tourism, and market developments to create innovative travel offerings.
  • Ticketing and Documentation
  • Oversee all aspects of ticketing for flights, events, and tours, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international regulations.
  • Ensure that all necessary travel documents, including visas and insurance, are managed efficiently.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of travel coordinators and specialists, providing guidance on complex bookings, luxury client services, and operational best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
  • Process Improvement and Technology Integration
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, with a focus on integrating advanced technologies and systems to streamline workflows.
  • Utilize cutting-edge travel management platforms to improve customer experience and booking accuracy.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving
  • Proactively identify potential risks or disruptions to travel plans, such as changes in regulations, weather conditions, or vendor issues, and develop contingency plans.
  • Resolve operational challenges quickly and efficiently, ensuring that luxury client experiences are unaffected.
  • Sales Support and Business Development
  • Collaborate with the sales team to promote luxury travel packages and inbound tourism services, contributing to business growth.
  • Support the development of strategies to attract new clients and engage existing ones, ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Reporting and Performance Metrics
  • Track key operational and client service metrics, providing detailed reports to upper management on efficiency, client satisfaction, and revenue performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions about operational improvements and strategic planning.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in luxury travel operations, inbound tourism, and ticketing services.
  • Proven ability to manage B2B travel systems for booking and supplier relationships.
  • Expertise in organizing client workshops and presentations.
