Provides support to HR leaders in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to attract local Saudi nationals and manage the localization program across all hotels in the country. Play important role developing, drive, implement and sustain Saudization strategies across all brands represented in the Kingdom. Primarily specialized in Saudi Talent Acquisition activities including workforce planning, recruitment, selection, help building local talent pool and supporting management recruitment. Executes university / school presentations, ensures strong employer brand presence in KSA labor market etc). Ensures an effective retention plan is in place, provides career advice and career development plans. Supports talent acquisition projects in the country. Acts as the country Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise (COE) supporting all GM’s and DHR’s and the regional talent team. Manages and drives talent programs in KSA (Graduates acquisition, selection, hiring and development). Supports key career development activities in the country.
A full time, Saudi (Jeddah or Riyadh based) position covering all Marriot Hotels in KSA, Including St. Regis, Ritz Carlton.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Drive and communicate talent acquisition strategy and initiatives in Saudi Arabia and ensure execution of strategy drawn by the Area DHR KSABE and the regional talent team, quality of selection process for all management and hourly positions.
- In partnership with the DHR/s in properties, drive Saudi Nationals staffing and workforce planning efforts for top talent. Work with DHR’s as appropriate to:
- Determine Saudi Nationals staffing needs for existing and opening hotels and ensure that candidates are identified for these opportunities
- Liaise with expert in each discipline to assess manpower needs per hotel whether in the existing or the new opening properties.
- Keep always all hotels in the Kingdom in the Green zone and target the Silver with NITAQAT within a reasonable time period as agreed with Area DHR.
- Assess, on an on-going basis, hotel needs and competencies required to fill upcoming opening of Saudi Nationals; work with resources to ensure workforce planning is aligned with needs
- Support hourly employee recruiting of Saudi Nationals by ensuring the appropriate education, training and/or tools are provided to properties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Liaise with L&D team to review the training needs assessment and investigate new ways to train and support hourly
- Maintain resumes, talent bank for Management and Hourly positions in all properties in the Kingdom to assist with critical key openings.
- Liaise with all DHRs in the country to identify candidates from their markets in the different cities
- Establish relationships with competition in the different cities
- Utilize talent programs to outsource future talent needs
- Liaise with regional talent team to ensure effective relationships with the recruitment agencies identified on the area level.
- Work with Area DHR in the selection process of Saudi Nationals EXCOMs/GT.
- Responsible for the Marriott Tahseen program administration
- Review, recommend and assist creating any LSOP related to TA within the area of responsibility.
- Establish contacts with local schools and colleges where needed to prepare and deliver presentation in colleges
- Assist creating a recruitment strategy for the country, to include representation at Career Fairs, Hotel Schools and other recruitment channel across the country.
- Create schools and colleges presentations as well as the stands and all marketing materials
- Help creating a localization programs to the country and work with Area DHR to ensure consistent launch across Saudi; drive each hotel GM and DHR to understand and reach their labor office/immigration localization goals.
- Work with each hotel in the country to prepare recruitment strategy for locals
- Ensure that the hotels in the Kingdom follows the Employer Brand image recruitment guidelines and monitors recruitment drives in conjunction with Global employer brand marketing teams.
Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in talent acquisition, recruiting and staffing in large complex organizations; strong knowledge of talent and performance development; or experience and passion in those
- Experience in HR field with proven management roles
- Prior success & involvement in the creation and implementation of talent planning, recruiting and deployment strategies in the Kingdom.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with HR colleagues and business leaders on complex business issues. Ability to deal effectively with vagueness and being a self starter, innovative individual.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to engage and gain sponsorship for solutions to talent acquisition challenges.
- Proven ability to use metrics and data analysis to identify and resolve process efficiency issues.
- Knowledge of talent acquisition technologies and systems, ideally Marriott systems and processes.
Education or Certification
- High School certification or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree or similar preferred
- Advanced degree is a plus; strong communication skills in English and Arabic.
