As a Senior Director Global Brand Partnerships, you will be part of the global brand partnerships team. Your main objectives will focus on contributing to EFG’s sponsorship targets on a global and regional level, ranging from approaching new clients and brands across the endemic and non-endemic corporate landscape as well as supporting the management of new and existing long-term key clients where required. You will also contribute to EFG’s other business endeavors, e.g. with publishers and other key stakeholders in the region. The role will also be supporting EFG’s commercial projects in relation to e.g. the Esports World Cup and/or the Olympics of Esports, including all relevant areas e.g. bidding for and performing on mandates like sponsorship and other potential commercial workstreams, if required. The role will entail an independent but focused approach in helping monetize existing key global ESL Owned & Operated properties as well as local esports events through meaningful commercial mandates. By taking a leading role and working closely with EFG teams locally and globally, you will ensure applying a global lens on the entire spectrum of EFG’s business, including contributing on EFG strategic projects. This position will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will report to our VP Commercial MENA.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with the SVP/ VP Commercial MENA, EFG’s Chief Relationship Officer and the brand partnerships team to deliver sponsorship and sales objectives, both for global and local events
Identify and develop sponsorship leads globally and in KSA/MENA to secure high value brand partnership deals
Build and maintain a solid and sustainable sales pipeline
Create state-of-the-art sales materials and brand partnerships presentations
Lead sales process ranging from client presentations to successful negotiation of brand partnerships deal (with support of senior EFG personnel)
Take steps to ensure key account retention, business growth and profitability
Independently identify market potential, observe EFG’s competitors, and know their service spectrum
Collaborate with other EFG key stakeholders for additional MENA business opportunities, e.g. with Publishers
Requirements What you need:
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial areas, e.g. sales, brand partnerships and operational implementation
Excellent communication and face to face presentations as well as good negotiation skills
Enthusiasm for Esports and Gaming and understanding of the competitive esports industry and its events
Experience in dealing with senior executives internally and externally
Culturally seasoned personality with experience in the MENA region, being able to adapt to dynamic environments and changing circumstances.
Fully capable in building and maintaining relationships with clients and delivering on campaign objectives and KPI’s
Forward thinking and resilient
High level of self-motivation, initiative and commitment to achieve objectives
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
