WSP Middle East are seeking an exceptional Senior Design Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead the design and execution phases.
The Senior Design Manager / Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and project management aspects of our iconic hospitality project in Sharaan. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a proven track record in managing complex, high-profile projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project meets its design vision, quality standards, and delivery milestones.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Design Leadership: Lead and coordinate the design process from conceptualization through to final execution. Ensure that design objectives align with client expectations and project requirements.
• Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project management including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Team Coordination: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, and consultants. Foster collaboration and ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.
• Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing any concerns or changes in project scope.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of quality in design and construction. Conduct regular reviews and audits to maintain project integrity and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Innovation: Promote innovative design solutions and construction methods that enhance the project's sustainability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
• Reporting: Provide regular project updates to senior management and clients. Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation as required

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are highly desirable.
• Experience: At least 12 years of experience in design management or project management within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry, with a strong portfolio of large-scale, high-profile projects, particularly in hospitality.
• Skills:
  • Proven expertise in managing complex projects with a focus on high-end hospitality design.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and design software (e.g., MS Project, Auto CAD, Revit).
• Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
