We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a minimum of 10 years of experience, specifically in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying activities, ensuring accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to project timelines.
Responsibilities:
Conducting feasibility studies and cost estimates for PMC projects.
Preparing bills of quantities and tender documents.
Evaluating contractor bids and negotiating contracts.
Monitoring project budgets and financial progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Conducting site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost variations.
Managing variations and claims from contractors.
Providing regular reports to project stakeholders on cost performance and forecasting.
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met within budgetary constraints.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on PMC projects.
Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Cost X, Bluebeam, or similar.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., RICS, CIQS) is preferred.
