Job Purpose
Develop and administer Technical Engineering plans and programs to facilitate out-of-gauge cargo movements, either ad hoc or as part of a longer project in line with business strategy and objectives, guidelines and policies.

Key Tasks

• Develop and administer Technical Engineering plans and programs to facilitate out-of-gauge cargo movements, either ad hoc or as part of a longer project

• Generate visualizations of proposed solutions in CAD software

• Develop and formulate technical work packages, including engineering design and analysis related to out-of?gauge cargo transportation and handling.

• Prepare technical documents to support bid responses • Perform review and validation of subcontractor plans, method statements and heavylift manuals

• Research and evaluate development of new products and procedures and assist in laying out project specifications

• Attend client meetings to convey technical concepts and designs • Follow industry standards and best practices for handling and transportation of cargo

• Prioritize and coordinate all necessary engineering work and ensure company standards

Stakeholders

• Connect with and influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties e.g. external service providers

• May convince others to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
• Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees

Management Responsibility

• Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others

• May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs

• Coach and review the work of lower level professionals
