The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Manager to lead the mechanical operations & maintenance in our state-of-the-art Paper Tissue Factory located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, extensive experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in the paper industry, and a proven track record of managing teams effectively. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to optimize mechanical processes to enhance productivity and efficiency. As a Mechanical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the factory runs smoothly, meets production targets, and adheres to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities: - Oversee the mechanical operations of the Paper Tissue Factory, ensuring optimal performance of machinery and equipment. - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. - Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance the reliability of equipment. - Collaborate with production management to optimize manufacturing processes and improve production efficiency. - Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical systems and equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. - Manage budgets for mechanical operations, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment for all employees. - Coordinate with other departments, including electrical engineering and production, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any technical issues. - Lead projects for machinery upgrades and installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. - Prepare and present reports on mechanical performance, maintenance activities, and project status to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper industry. - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and equipment used in the production of paper products. - Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. - Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving mechanical issues. - Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment. - Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools. - Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. - Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. - Willingness to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
