Important responsibilities in this role will include:
- Study and analyze legal issues pertaining to violations of mining regulations.
- Review and interpret requests from the Public Prosecution regarding the criminalization of violators.
- Criminal Report Examination
- Examine criminal reports related to mining violations before submission to the Public Prosecution.
- Ensure all documentation meets legal standards and supports prosecution efforts.
- Assess financial objections in accordance with mining investment regulations.
- Provide recommendations based on findings to inform policy decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with legal teams and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment on enforcement actions.
- Engage with internal departments to gather necessary information for comprehensive assessments.
Skills we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in legal analysis or policy management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and data analysis software.
