We are seeking a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist as part of DB Engineering and Consulting Gmb H, Riyadh Branch. In your role, you will be providing high-level technical sup-port to the Project team experts and coordinate all different involved parties related to GIS mapping and Application Development (Desktop, Web and Mobile).

Responsibilities:
Managing, analyzing and interpreting spatial data to support various projects and decision-making process.

Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to create maps, analyze spatial in-formation, and provide insights that aid in planning and problem-solving across different de-partments. Operate and maintain GIS software such as Arc GIS, QGIS, or similar platforms. Ensure GIS systems are up-to-date and functioning efficiently. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS tools and applications. Coordinating the experts of DB E&C sub consultant as they provide GIS and Modeling exper-tise as well as the two traffic survey sub consultants and DB E&C experts. Undertaking analysis of data and geographic information as needed to show progress. Provide recommendations to the Project Team on the GIS database(s) needs. Cross-check data collected in the field and developing dynamic links between Database(s) and GIS data and ensuring regular updates and solving eventual discrepancies.
- Ensuring that the produced reports/maps meet the requirements of the Project;
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent expe-rience).

Certification in GIS (e.g., GISP) or related professional certification. 10-12 years of experience on similar position. Having knowledge in GIS Mapping and Application Development (Desktop, Web and Mobile). Familiarity with web mapping technologies and development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or R is a plus. Having knowledge in simulation software like Arc GIS, QGIS Software, spatial data analysis and other software GIS-related activities as required. Fluency in English. Arabic language advantage. Experience in railway and transportation projects would be an advantage.
- Experience with working with authorities in the Middle East would be an advantage.
