Food Safety and Hygiene Officer (Restaurant / Hotel Background Only)
Job Title: Food Safety and Hygiene Officer
Place of Work: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Monthly Salary: SAR 3,500++ OR SAR 5,000 (Full package / All in)
++ Free shared accommodation and transportation, plus duty meal

Job Summary: The Food Safety and Hygiene Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met within our restaurant operations. This includes implementing and maintaining HACCP level 3 standards, conducting regular inspections and audits, and providing training and support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, as well as experience in the restaurant or hotel industry.

Pay: ﷼3,500.00 - ﷼5,000.00 per month

Job Summary: The Food Safety and Hygiene Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met within our restaurant operations. This includes implementing and maintaining HACCP level 3 standards, conducting regular inspections and audits, and providing training and support to staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, as well as experience in the restaurant or hotel industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of all food handling areas to ensure compliance with HACCP standards and other relevant regulations.
- Audit food safety records to verify that all procedures are being followed correctly.
- Identify and address any non-compliance issues promptly.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive HACCP plan that meets Level 3 standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs) to ensure that food safety risks are controlled at all stages of the food handling process.
- Update the HACCP plan as needed to reflect changes in regulations, processes, or ingredients.
- Provide training to staff on food safety and hygiene procedures, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques.
- Develop and maintain training materials and resources.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff to ensure that they understand and follow all food safety procedures.
- Investigate foodborne illness complaints and take appropriate corrective action.
- Keep up to date with the latest food safety regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Willing to be deployed to our new branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabi by Q4 2024
- Can speak English well, and Arabic (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety and hygiene in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- HACCP Level 3 certification required.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds / 20 kilograms
Pay: ﷼3,500.00 - ﷼5,000.00 per month
