Equipment Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various types of equipment and machinery within the facility. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment operates effectively, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.

The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of various types of equipment and machinery within the facility. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure that all equipment operates effectively, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and checklists for equipment.

Repairs:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment.
- Perform repairs and replacement of faulty parts, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Installation:
- Assist in the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate equipment installation and relocation.

Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
- Update equipment manuals and maintenance logs as needed.

Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that work areas are clean and organized, and that tools are stored properly.

Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other maintenance staff, operators, and management to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in training and mentoring of junior maintenance staff as needed.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable.
