Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Specialist - Water Quality to join our team! In this role you will get to Implement departmental strategies for optimizing , developing and implementing water treatment, conservation and sustainability initiatives to ensure responsible water use and long - term resource availability . Thi s role involves working with cross - functional teams to ensur e compliance with environmental regulations and create sustainable water management strategies, conducting water assessments, and promoting efficiency .
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and implement water sustainability programs, policies, and practices.
- Provide necessary advice and guidance to meet RC objectives particularly related to wastewater treatment and water recycle / reuse .
- Identi fy and recommend best practices for reducing water consumption and improving water quality.
- Monitor water usage and identify opportunities for conservation and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations on water performance metr ics for various stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, policies, and trends in water treatment and sustainability.
- Review and evaluate water related data and technical reports submitted by the industries .
- Participate in inspections and prepar e / review reports to ensure industr ial compliance with RC ’ s environment regul ation (RCER) and determine extent of deviation for appropriate regulatory actions .
- Rev iew and evaluate the environmental permit application packages , impact assessments and technical reports submitted by existing and new industries in support of their permit or waiver requests.
- Build partnerships with water conservation organizations, suppliers, and governmental agencies to align on water sustainabi lity goals. Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and meetings focused on water stewardship .
- Participate in periodic revision of RC ER and standards and implement the same in l ine with Kingdom's laws, international regulations and standards , and best practi ces.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical E ngineering, Environmental Sciences, or other relevant Sciences/Engineering
- M inimum of 10 years of experience working in the field of Environmental Management with primary experience within the heavy industries related to water recycling and wastewater treatment system s .
- Experience managing a team , ideally as a supervisor or team leader, is preferable .
- Certifications in water resource management or sustainability practices (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001).
Familiarity with water - related software tools for monitoring and reporting
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment regula tions followed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
- E xperience of the environmental regulatory process within heavy industries, preferably with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu or similar entity .
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Intermediate computer skills are essential with experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
