Job Description:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Sous Chef.
Ensure that all food items meet the kitchen’s quality standards in terms of appearance, taste, and texture.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in managing stock and ingredients, ensuring proper storage and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and departments to ensure a smooth flow of service.
Monitor and report on equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining kitchen equipment.
Stay updated with industry trends and experiment with new recipes or techniques to enhance the menu.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices as required.
Desired Skill & Expertise:
Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience, with a strong focus on Western and Italian cuisine.
Excellent knowledge and hands-on skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
A diploma in culinary arts or relevant certifications/training is preferred.
Possession of a valid food safety certification is required.
HACCP certification is required.
