We are seeking an experienced and licensed Boat Captain in Jeddah - KSA to operate and maintain boats up to 35 feet in length. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the operation and maintenance of both gasoline and diesel engines, including inboard and outboard motor systems. This position requires a captain who is not only skilled in navigation and safety procedures but also knowledgeable in the technical aspects of boat operation.
- Safely operate boats up to 35 feet for various purposes, including charters, private excursions, or transport.
- Navigate waterways, ensuring compliance with all local and maritime regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on gasoline and diesel engines, including both inboard and outboard motor systems.
- Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival inspections to ensure the vessel is in proper working order.
- Manage and oversee any crew members, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Respond to any mechanical issues while on the water and perform necessary repairs to maintain vessel operability.
Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a positive and safe experience.
- Keep detailed logs of all voyages, including maintenance performed and any incidents or repairs needed.
**Qualifications:
Valid Captain’s License (appropriate for vessels up to 35 feet).
- Minimum [5] years of experience operating and maintaining boats with gasoline and diesel engines.
- Working English language proficiency.
- Proficient in navigation, including the use of GPS, radar, and other relevant marine electronics.
- Strong understanding of maritime safety regulations and emergency procedures. - Basic mechanical skills and experience with inboard and outboard engine maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions
**Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in marine safety, first aid, or mechanical repair.
- Experience with charter services or private boat management.
- Familiarity with local waterways and ports.
**Working Conditions:
- This position requires time spent outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- May require lifting heavy objects, climbing, and other physical activities.
Benefits:
