Our Toolshop Team at Vitesco Brasov is looking for a leader to support the team!

As a Design Engineer you will be responsible of:

Design molds and tooling for injection molding processes using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Auto CAD, CATIA);
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of molds, components, and assemblies;
Collaborate with tool makers and vendors to oversee the fabrication of molds and tooling;
Conduct design reviews, and modify designs as needed based on feedback and production requirements;
Work with Process Engineers and Production teams to optimize molding processes, cycle times, and part quality;
Ensure all mold designs meet or exceed industry standards and quality requirements.

What will you need to succeed:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field;
3+ years of experience in tool design for plastic injection molding;
Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works, Auto CAD, CATIA, or equivalent;
Strong knowledge of mold design principles, materials, and injection molding processes;
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mold and process issues.
