Technical Team Lead

Data Services team is looking for a Technical Leader for our Cross-Functional Team of data engineers and QA experts in designing a scalable data architecture, enhancing data storage and retrieval with focus on automation, quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Provide technical guidance and direction, ensuring team members are aligned with business goals and best practices.
Manage the hiring process, onboarding, and professional development of team members.
Conduct regular performance reviews and establish clear career development plans.
Ensure smooth migration from legacy systems to newer architectures, including subsystems refactoring and optimization.
Work closely with product managers, technology managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and project timelines.
Define and enforce engineering best practices, including code quality standards, version control, and pipelines.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the team, fostering a learning culture and openness to adopting new technologies.
Facilitate clear communication between teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and product strategies.
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and effectively convey progress and risks to leadership.

Qualifications:

3+ years experience with Python
2+ years experience with .NET (any .NET Framework or .NET Core) database domain models, n-layered design, OOP Experience
Relevant experience with SQL query language (Postgre SQL or other SQL databases )
Working experience debugging unfamiliar code Deep understanding of software solutions performance, scalability, and maintainability
Working experience writing code per coding standards.
Understanding of concepts like design patterns and threading.
Working experience with GIT.

Nice to have:

Knowledge of basic Linux commands is considered a plus
Experience with Pentaho is considered a plus
Experience with Postgres SQL/Athena is considered a plus
Experience with Jupyter Notebook is considered a plus
