Your role would be to validate i OS and Android applications using the specific testing types and tools, following best practices and using standard testing tools. We are currently looking for engineers to join us on the following project: Garmin Explore Outdoor Team: We provide our customers online and offline mapping (real-time tracking, trip planning) and satellite text messaging (and other important features like Weather over-the-air) through the Garmin Explore ecosystem. Our SOS satellite communication features rescue people every single day with in Reach capable devices.
Responsibilities
Requirements analysis and clarification.
Testing newly developed functionalities by using the appropriate testing techniques and methods.
Create, review, maintain and execute test scenarios.
Execute various testing types (functional, regression, sanity, integration, smoke, etc).
Developing and running effective tests to ensure product’s stability and performance (both front-end and back-end).
Providing information to developers to support their bug fixing.
Defect tracking and reporting using Jira.
Contribute to the high quality through the SDLC.
Requirements
Knowledge of Mobile Application Testing and of i OS / Android platform specifics.
Some knowledge of Web Testing / Hardware testing for Integration purposes.
Familiarity with Postman, Team City, q Test, Analytics tool, Jira - or similar tools.
Knowledge of software testing (methodologies, techniques, practices, tools etc.).
Experience with requirements, user experience, test cases, defects and task tracking tools.
SDLC / QA life cycle knowledge.
Advanced English knowledge.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a prioritized way, attention to details.
Good problem-solving skills & good communication skills.
Ability to take decisions in a timely manner and work independently as well as integrated in a team.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Mobile testing.
Would be a plus
ISTQB Foundation or equivalent.
Agile / Scrum work experience.
BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field.
Knowledge of Android Studio and Xcode basics .
