Functional Safety
Functional Safety in Automotive is described by ISO 26262 standard (see e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_26262 ). It is nowadays mandatory for each microcontroller / electronic system in Automotive. Our software solutions implement complex Safety Concept designed for a particular microcontroller where we can fully use our advantage of the microcontroller vendor to choose between HW / SW solution to achieve higher efficiency a flexibility.
NXP provides large portfolio of suitable microprocessors and microcontrollers supported with Functional Safety software to be used directly by our customers in their electronic control units. Examples of such software can be Core Self-Test Library ( https://www.nxp.com/scst ) and Safety Software Framework ( https://www.nxp.com/saf ).

The Functional Safety SW team is responsible for development of the above mentioned products, plus some other products which are not publicly disclosed yet. The demand for the Functional Safety SW is growing together with the trend of the autonomous cars.

You will have the occasion to get in contact with different NXP Automotive teams (solution teams, hardware designers, customers engineers, etc.), give feedback and propose solutions.

Your responsibilities:
• Planning and execution of development projects according to the defined processes and quality standards, incl. requirements collection and analysis, negotiation of details with customers, etc.
• Project status reporting

Your profile:
•University degree in electronics, programming, etc.
•Experience in embedded SW project management in a global organization
•Experience in embedded SW development
•Effective communication (in English), leadership skills, team player
•Experience with version control (GIT) and issue tracking (JIRA) is a plus
•Project management certification is a plus
