Our client is a leading global Financial Market data provider who runs several change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in a very engaging environment making the most of cutting-edge technologies.Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the organization's software catalog and software lifecycle, including packaging, deployment, licensing, and upgrades.
Administer and integrate tools such as Lean IX, Service Now, Artifactory, Chocolatey, Intune, and Linux packages for software delivery and management.
Collaborate with various teams (engineering, IT, and procurement) to ensure smooth software delivery and compliance with corporate policies.
Provide expertise in software asset management (SAM), ensuring efficient utilization, cost optimization, and compliance with licensing agreements.
Automate software provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Chocolatey and Intune, ensuring timely software updates and patches across platforms.
Utilize Lean IX for IT portfolio management and strategic decision-making about software assets, technical debt, and architecture alignment.
Administer Artifactory for software package management, build artifacts, and version control, ensuring availability and integrity of software components.
Extend and customize IDE (Integrated Development Environment) tools as required for developer efficiency.
Manage Service Now for tracking software requests, incidents, and inventory while ensuring service management best practices.
Maintain and update Linux software packages using standard package management tools and repositories
Skills
Must have
Lean IX: Expertise in using Lean IX for managing IT portfolios, software assets, and providing insights into technical debt, architecture, and software dependencies.
Service Now: Experience in managing software-related incidents, service requests, and asset tracking, including building custom workflows and automating software management tasks within Service Now.
Artifactory: Proficient in managing repositories for software packages and build artifacts, ensuring proper version control, and enabling seamless software distribution.
Chocolatey: Strong experience in automating Windows software installations, updates, and patching using Chocolatey, ensuring consistency across all endpoints.
Intune: Solid experience managing software deployment, updates, and policy configurations for mobile and desktop environments via Microsoft Intune.
IDE Extensions: Hands-on experience with customizing and managing extensions for IDEs like Visual Studio, Intelli J, or VS Code to enhance developer productivity.
Linux Packages: Proficient in managing Linux software packages using tools like APT, YUM, or DNF, ensuring proper versioning, dependencies, and repository management.
Excellent communication skills.
Advanced/Fluent English.
Power Shell Scripting: Experience with Power Shell for automation tasks, especially in managing Windows environments.
Bash Scripting: Familiarity with Bash scripting for automating Linux-based tasks and software management.
Software Asset Management (SAM) Certification: Certified SAM professional (CSAM) or ITAM certification.
Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile and Dev Ops practices for software development and delivery.
CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enabling efficient software delivery.
