Purpose of role:
All team members share the same responsibilities and duties regarding the operational availability of the TMS systems and the corresponding application support.
Overall Responsability:
configuration and maintenance of the hosted systems
configuration and maintenance of the applications in close collaboration with the software engineers
tuning systems and applications to cope with high data volumes and to be available 24/7
monitoring of systems and applications
troubleshooting of incidents, the scope of responsibility ends at the border between OS and application
looking into ways to further optimize the current procedures and practices in the team
being part of the on-call schedule, outside office hours
Requirements:
experience in a similar role, managing infrastructure hardware and Linux-based systems/ applications
have hands-on experience in implementing and improving automation/ scripting for infrastructure, containers, systems, and applications
be mindful of the implications of running a 24/7 operation
be able to work on tasks both with the team and alone
enjoy troubleshooting, look at issues as opportunities to learn/improve
fluent writing and speaking in English
we have a broad toolset in use, any level of working knowledge with one or more of these tools or technologies is a plus:

Jenkins/Rundeck
Tomcat
Postgre SQL/My SQL/SQL Server
Splunk
Rabbit MQ
Elastic Search
Bonus points:
- experience in managing an AWS environment, including automation
- extensive in-depth experience in any of the tools/technologies mentioned above
