Basic Qualifications for staff at WMF
Participation in a WMF Servant Team, US Internship, International Internship, or Discovery Team
Experience living cross-culturally and/or with other NGOs will be taken into consideration in lieu of prior participation with WMF
18 years of age or older
Specific qualifications for each opening can be found in the position descriptions
We also suggest time be spent (minimum of two weeks) with the WMF community where the open position is located before a final hiring decision is made

Position Summary
The Short-Term Program Coordinator will organize and lead logistical coordination for study abroad students, Servant Teams, internships and short term teams for Word Made Flesh Romania. They will be a participant in the WMF Romania community while focusing their time on discipleship and formation of short-term participants.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Field Director, the selected candidate will be responsible to:
Logistical Coordination
Create and implement activities to recruit short-term participants
Communicate with potential students, Servant Team (ST) members, interns and short-term teams
Participate in interviews and selection process of short term participants
Coordinate with US office and international partners in facilitating short-term programs
Create and monitor short-term program budgets and report expenses
Plan and facilitate short-term program activities and schedules
Facilitate evaluation and debriefing of short-term participants
Discipleship and Formation
Understands and supports the vision and mission of Word Made Flesh Romania
Lead discussions on formation materials and readings
Integrate the short-term participants into the community relationships and service
Support short-term participants in their host family relationships
Support short-term participants in debriefing their experience and re-entry into home culture
Participates in personal staff development plan
Staff Development Plan
New Staff will spend approx. 20 hrs a week on:
Community prayer
Formation reading and discussion
Language acquisition
Intentional interaction and service among the vulnerable
Experience/Qualifications
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Motivated and responsible individual able to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and creatively problem solve with a team
Leadership experience including team development and conflict management
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Able to set budgets, complete financial reports and basic accounting
Able to multi-task and resume routine with multiple interruptions
Commitment to building relationships with and investing in the WMF Romania staff community
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or
demonstrated prior experience in related field
Terms and Conditions
Worksite Location: Galati, Romania
WMF International Staff commit to a 3-year contract of service
Full-time: 40 hours a week
This is a support-based position; staff commit to raising support for their salary and expenses
Weekly Romanian language tutoring will be expected in order to fulfill responsibilities
