Open VPN is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee our development team. Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science, 3+ years of experience in the field, and a good understanding of networking and security concepts. In this role, you will be responsible for the team’s performance, oversee the development process, and act as a project manager and Scrum master.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and manage projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines, resources, and scope
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency planning
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and progress
Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management
Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and adapt plans as necessary to ensure project success
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by conducting post-project reviews and applying lessons learned to future projects
Take ownership of the project and drive the software development process through all stages of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)

Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science
At least 3 years of experience leading software development projects in networking or security
Understanding of networking and security concepts
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
Proven experience of creating project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency planning
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is highly desirable
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
