Senior Accountant

Main responsibilities:
- Financial Data Processing and Analysis
- Process financial data every month.
- Analyze financial records, comparing current data with historical information.
- Provide insights based on data analysis.
- Verification and Reconciliation
- Verify and reconcile financial amounts to ensure accuracy.
- Investigate any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Perform monthly closings efficiently.
- Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports as needed.
- Customize reports for various stakeholders (e.g., management, and regulatory bodies).
- Data Collection and Centralization
- Centralize data for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to collect relevant financial information.
- Maintain data integrity and consistency.
- Assistance to Auditor
- Support external auditors during audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- Address any audit-related queries promptly.
Your profile:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Prior experience in the accounts sector is essential.
- Proficient in financial software (e.g. Saga) and Microsoft Suite.
- Good knowledge of VAT returns and accounting processes.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately.
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset to centralize data and provide valuable insights.
- Meticulous approach to verifying and reconciling financial records.
- A keen eye for identifying discrepancies.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
