Key responsibilities
- Review of the designs at various stages, in both digital and print formats, before submitting them to the production plant as print instructions.
- Ensure the quality control of PDF files, Epson proofs, cylinder proof prints, separations, etc., in line with current SIG quality standards.
- Schedule and follow the projects timelines to avoid delays in production.
- Use SAP throughout the preprint process (verify information, manage schedules, create cylinder orders, etc.)
- Collaborate with Preprint Front Office, Order Management, production plants, suppliers to ensure a smooth transition from design to print.
- Create claims if supplier services do not meet SIG specifications and guidelines.
- Verify that the services requested by Preprint are the same as those billed by the suppliers.
You bring these skills, experience & education
- Strong attention to details, effective problem-solving skills, good communication skills.
- Specialized technical knowledge with 1-3 years of experience in printing technologies and processes, including repro creation and color management.
- Understanding of design for print principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Power Point, etc.) and a good understanding of design software (Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Familiarity with Esko is a plus.
- Experience with SAP or similar process monitoring and control programs.
