The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and overseeing laser welding processes used in producing high-quality components. This role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to ensure that laser welding operations meet the required standards and specifications. For our factory in Timisoara, producer of telecom antennas, we are recruiting for Laser Welding Specialist
You will be responsible for Laser Welding Process :
Process Development and Optimization:
o Design and develop laser welding processes.
o Optimize laser welding processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
o Conduct experiments to determine optimal welding parameters (e.g., laser power, speed, focus) for different applications.
Equipment Setup and Maintenance:
o Set up, calibrate, and maintain laser welding equipment to ensure reliable and consistent performance.
o Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laser welding equipment and processes.
o Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventive maintenance on laser welding systems.
Quality Assurance:
o Develop and implement quality control procedures to monitor and ensure the quality of laser-welded joints.
o Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any welding-related quality issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with core team engineering to review product designs and ensure they are compatible with laser welding processes.
o Provide technical support and training to production operators on laser welding techniques and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
o Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and weld parameter records.
o Prepare and present reports on process performance, including key metrics such as yield, cycle time, and defect rates.
To be successful in the role you must have:
Relevant background in production fields;
Familiar with PFMEA, Capabilities, time studies, line balancing;
Fluency in English;
Good skills in, MS-Office;
Team spirit, proactive, willing to learn.
2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (welding processes)
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills
Strong understanding of mechanical, material properties, and weld joint design, experience with welding inspection and testing methods.
Will be great if you have:
Technical design knowledge, Auto CAD, Creo
Experience with automated machineries / industrial robots
Graduate Engineer
Reports to Maintenance Team Leader, Technical Manager, General Manager
