The Infrastructure and Platforms Unite Lead will lead the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure solutions for external clients in a dynamic outsourcing environment. What you’ll be doing:
- Lead infrastructure strategy development tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with client leadership and internal teams to identify infrastructure requirements, propose solutions, and ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure engineers and specialists, promoting a culture of innovation and service excellence.
- Oversee the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions for multiple clients, including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Provide technical leadership in infrastructure solutioning, particularly during the bidding and pre-sales processes, ensuring proposed solutions meet client needs and align with budget constraints.
- Ensure that all infrastructure solutions adhere to industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the technical aspects of the bidding process, working with the demand team to design competitive and cost-effective proposals.
- Evaluate client requirements and develop customized infrastructure solutions during the RFI/RFP process.
- Engage with external vendors and partners to ensure service offerings are aligned with client demands and industry standards.
- Ensure the reliable and efficient delivery of infrastructure services across client environments, maintaining high service levels and addressing performance issues proactively.
- Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, ensuring that SLAs are consistently met or exceeded across all client engagements.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging automation and innovation to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report on infrastructure performance to clients, providing transparency and regular updates on service status.
- Monitor and manage infrastructure budgets for each client engagement, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
What you’ll bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position within an outsourcing or service provider environment.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale IT infrastructure environments, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid solutions.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure solutioning and service design for external clients, particularly in response to RFPs and competitive bids.
- Hands-on experience with key technologies such as: Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Virtualization and Containerization (VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker), Networking (Cisco, Palo Alto, Cisco Viptela, Palo Alto SD-WAN) , Storage Solutions (SAN, NAS, Cloud Storage), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), Cybersecurity frameworks and compliance (GDPR, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Strong client-facing skills, with proven experience managing relationships, delivering complex infrastructure solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead distributed teams and drive performance in a client-centric environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-client environment, with strong decision-making and organizational abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Professional, ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead technical teams in a high-pressure, multi-client environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and services.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
