About this Opportunity
The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems that integrate people, materials, information, equipment, and energy to achieve optimal production and service efficiency. The role involves analyzing and improving manufacturing processes, workflow, logistics, and quality control measures. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure the efficient use of resources.
What you will do:
Process Improvement:
o Analyze production processes, workflows, and methods to identify areas for improvement.
o Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of resources (materials, labor, time, etc.) and reduce waste.
o Design, simulate, and test process layouts to improve manufacturing efficiency.
Data Analysis:
o Collect, interpret, and analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends.
o Use statistical methods and tools to evaluate production processes and propose enhancements.
o Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend actionable improvements.
Project Management:
o Lead or support projects aimed at improving production processes, including timeline creation, resource allocation, and budget management.
o Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and R&D, to implement process improvements.
o Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Quality Control:
o Develop and implement quality control systems to ensure products meet required specifications.
o Work closely with the quality assurance team to monitor product quality and address any issues.
o Analyze defect data and work on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Workplace Design and Ergonomics:
o Design workplace layouts to improve safety, ergonomics, and efficiency.
o Assess worker tasks and environments to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
o Implement ergonomic solutions to reduce the risk of injury and improve worker productivity.
Cost Reduction:
o Identify and analyze cost drivers in production and operations.
o Develop strategies to reduce operating costs without compromising quality or safety.
o Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial impact of proposed improvements.
