As an Industrial Engineer in Ops Technology, you will be pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational technology systems. You will leverage your expertise to support station and gateway operations by analyzing and developing improvement initiatives. Acting as a technical expert, you will assist management with the testing, analysis, interpretation, and application of complex information to drive strategic goals. Your role will involve leading or supporting projects that apply your area of expertise, contributing to both divisional and corporate objectives.

What you will be doing:

Prepare and oversee short-term and long-term plans related to technology and systems enhancements, including staffing, equipment, and operational processes.

Provide technical training to team members through workshops, seminars, and on-the-job training sessions, focusing on operations, productivity, cost-effectiveness, and technology use.

Track productivity, service, and cost performance across technology systems and assist in implementing necessary changes to optimize performance.
-
Maintain effective communication with operations and corporate departments to offer technical expertise on technology-related requests, including new system implementations, upgrades, and technology planning.

Assist in the development and application of innovative engineering concepts and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and benefit Fed Ex and its customers.

Prepare and manage information systems to support operational goals and control, ensuring that technology-related initiatives align with business objectives.

Participate in and support special projects that require your technical expertise, contributing to various initiatives within the Ops Technology domain.

Ensure that all technological solutions and operational plans comply with safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
What do you bring with you:
-
A degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.

Excellent command of English both written and spoken
-
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technology-focused role, such as a Systems Engineer or Operations Engineer, with a track record of supporting and improving operational technology systems.
-
Strong proficiency in developing and implementing technology systems, managing KPIs, and using analysis tools (e.g., Pareto, Ishikawa, Trend analysis).
-
Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Supply Chain or logistics principles is desirable.
-
Experience in creating and refining procedures and operational manuals for technology systems.
-
Skilled in preparing and presenting detailed reports, conducting cost and benefit analyses, and mapping and analyzing processes.

Proven ability to train and mentor team members on technology-related topics and lead root cause analysis initiatives.
-
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, dynamic charts, and macros, to support data analysis and reporting.
