WHAT A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

Develop, maintain, and optimize software applications using COBOL and Java;
Participate in requirements analysis and create technical specifications for new features and modules;
Contribute to the architectural and technical design of applications;
Collaborate with QA, technical support, and other development teams to ensure high-quality deliverables;
Investigate and resolve technical issues in applications, both in testing and production environments;
Actively participate in code reviews, optimizing, and refactoring existing code to improve performance and maintainability;
Provide technical support and training for other team members.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS NEEDED

Minimum 5 years of experience in software development;
French language - minim B2 level;
Strong programming experience in COBOL (preferably on Mainframe platforms);
Good programming skills in Java (API);
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., DB2, Oracle) and SQL;
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);
Ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code;
Experience working with distributed teams and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban);
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and attention to detail;
Good communication skills(FR/EN) and ability to work in a team.
