Rigging Supervisor
DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is looking for RIGGING SUPERVISOR (LOCAL) in Doha, Qatar
Years of experience: 6-7 Years
Project Site Location: Ras Laffan

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR4,400.00 per month

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years experience in sling loads.
- Minimum of 3 years at oil & gas Plant or Petrochemical environment.
- Hold a valid certificate of competence issued by an internationally recognized body as a Rigger
- Knowledge of crane signals.
- Identifying lifting gears required for relevant lifting activities.
- Read and understand crane load chart & standard lifting signal.
- Remove and replace crane wire rope on mobile and fix cranes.
- Check loads to be moved, estimating size, shape, weight and center of gravity and make sure that loads do not exceed lifting capacities of cranes.
- Select gear such as cables, pulleys and winches according to load weight and size, facilities and work schedule.
- Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and align pole booms with bolts and clamps.
- Signal or give verbal directions to workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, to ensure safety of workers and materials.
- Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
- Choose and use slings and other grappling devices, covering sharp corners with padding to prevent damage to slings to avoid accidents.
- Inspect chains, slings, ropes, cables, hooks and lifting gear for flaws and damage such as cracks, wear, mildew and corrosion and report defects.
- Prepares load ready for moving.

Pay: QAR2,000.00 - QAR4,400.00 per month
