Your Day to Day
The Manager On Duty is responsible for supporting the front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager. This role ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction through exceptional service and effective management of the team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering luxury hospitality.
Main responsibilities include:
- Supervising front office operations, including check-in/check-out processes, guest inquiries, and reservations, ensuring adherence to hotel standards
- Acting as the main point of contact for guests, addressing any concerns, complaints, or special requests promptly and professionally
- Coordinating with other departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage, to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Conducting regular inspections of the front desk area and lobby to ensure cleanliness and presentation align with five-star standards
- Handling all emergency situations and ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff, following established protocols
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and current promotions to effectively assist guests
- Assisting with the development and implementation of front office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Preparing and reviewing daily reports, occupancy forecasts, and revenue management strategies
What We Need From You
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- Minimum of 5 years experience in front office operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong guest service focus
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with hotel management software and property management systems
