Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook / Commis Chef with a strong knowledge in continental cuisine to join our culinary team. Prepare and cook a variety of continental dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistent quality and taste.
Execute daily menu items with precision and efficiency, maintaining proper cooking techniques and adherence to food safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned station, ensuring all tools, equipment, and ingredients are readily available.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service, supporting other stations as needed.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and rotating stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness of ingredients.
Qualifications:
Will be ready and available to start by Q4 2024
Can speak English well, and Arabic (preferred)
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook or Commis Chef, with a proven expertise in continental cuisine.
Strong culinary skills, including knife handling, cooking techniques, and plating presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
In-depth knowledge of continental cuisine, including classic dishes, ingredients, and flavor profiles. Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training is preferred but not required.
