We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join our team for our projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of safety across our construction sites. This role will involve overseeing safety practices, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with local and international HSE standards. The HSE Manager will play a vital role in ensuring that all employees and contractors adhere to safety regulations and contribute to a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement HSE Policies: Design and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies across all project sites, ensuring alignment with local laws and international standards.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all construction activities comply with government regulations and HSE best practices.
Conduct Audits and Inspections: Perform regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections of project sites to identify potential hazards and recommend preventive measures.
Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Training and Development: Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and site personnel to foster a safety-first culture.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, accident statistics, and compliance audits for management and clients.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities and provide strategies for risk mitigation.
Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement emergency response plans and ensure that all employees are well-prepared to respond to emergencies.
Promote Safety Culture: Lead initiatives to promote a strong safety culture, encouraging proactive safety measures and participation from all staff and contractors.
Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction or engineering industry.
In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001).
Proven experience in leading HSE initiatives and conducting site safety inspections and audits.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
NEBOSH/IOSH certification or equivalent safety qualifications are highly preferred.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
Prior experience in projects within Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
